CeBIT 2011: Asus lifts lid on tablet line up, bound for UK this April
There's a definite focus on practicality when it comes to Asus' line up of tablets, most of whcih are bound for the UK this April.

Although its roster had already been announced, the Taiwanese manufacturer used CeBIT 2011 in Hanover to demo all four devices in front of attendees, with the Windows 7 powered Eee Slate EP121 leading the line.

Four for all

It's the Eee Pad Transformer, however, that really hammers home the firm's practical edge, running Android Gingerbread, equipped with an Nvidia Tegra 2 chip and sporting an optional keyboard do give the device the usability of a laptop.

Also set to launch in April is the Eee Pad Slider – another Honeycomb powered, Tegra 2 device, that features a 10.1-inch IPS touch-screen and Nvidia's GeForce GPU.

Completing the line-up is one further Android handset – this time the 7-inch MeMO, which sports Qualcomm's Snapdragon and a micro HDMI port for HD video playback.

Asus' line-up has apparently been snapped up by PC World and Currys, reports The Inquirer, though there is a question mark hanging over whether any will be 3G capable from day one.

Word suggests wi-fi only models might be the sole SKUs in each device's first quarter.
