Mobile publisher Gameloft (GFT.PA) has announced its sales figures for 2010.
Consolidated sales were 141 million ($193 million), up 16 percent year-on-year.
Stripping out differences in exchange rates between the years, this slightly reduced 2010's growth to 13 percent.
Europe represented 36 percent of sales, North America 29 percent and the rest of the world 35 percent.
Happy holidays
Gameloft said it experienced particular acceleration in Q4 sales, with record revenues of 39.7 million ($54 million), up 25 percent year-on-year.
This compared with 15 percent year-on-year growth in Q2 and Q3.
Significantly, Q4 growth was driven both by sales of games on iOS - up 63 percent during 2010 compared to 2009 - and sales of less complex content in emerging countries.
Gameloft said it sold, on average, five games per second during the year.
Future perfect
Gameloft predicted continued revenue and profitability growth in 2011, due to the release of high performance devices from companies such as Samsung, Nokia, LG, Sony Ericsson, Apple and Google, as well as the release of new gaming platforms such as tablets, smart TVs and the next generation of set top boxes.
In keeping with French accounting practice, Gameloft will announced its full 2010 results, including profit breakdown, on March 23 after the market closes.
