Marmalade appoints former HP man Guy Whitcroft as COO
Almost six months after its mammoth rebranding exercise, cross-platform development tool Marmalade has announced Guy Whitcroft is to serve as the firm's new COO.

Whitcroft joins the fold with over 30 years of experience, with the majority of those decades spent in executive management positions at the likes of HP and Siemens.

Leading growth

"We are very pleased to welcome Guy at a significant point in the company's development," said CEO Niall Murphy.

"Following notable recent achievements, including our release of the first SDKs for LG's Smart TVs, and RIM's BlackBerry PlayBook and BBX OS, we're now about to enter an exciting and dynamic new phase.

"Guy will play a very important role, working with me and the rest of the team, in taking the company further forward to achieve its potential and vision."

As stated, Marmalade recently added native support for LG's Smart TV, reinforcing its position as the development framework supporting the most platforms.
