As reported yesterday, UK-developer ustwo is attempting what it labels a last roll of the premium dice, releasing its 99c Whale Trail on Android.
Studio guru mills reckons that success will be 45,000 sales, and it seems like the game is already off to a good start.
First day paid downloads were 1,500, with a further 700 pirated copies detected.
"We have an auto shutdown and redirect to the marketplace so they can only play for 20 seconds (and they do)," says mills.
Additional support for the Android version of the psychedelic endless flying game will come with dedicated support for the buttons of Sony Ericsson's Xperia Play.
Whale Trail has also be optimised for the hardware to ensure smooth performance.
