Analyst firm Research and Markets claims that Java and BREW mobile games were on course to generate $188.1 million of revenues in 2008 - up 66 per cent on 2007's estimated total of $113.3 million.
What's more, the company predicts that revenues will more than quadruple to $460.77 million by 2010.
Research and Markets also thinks 2008 will prove to have been a "turning point" for the online mobile games market in China, which was only worth $17.5 million in 2007.
The firm's prediction is that online mobile game revenues will have tripled to $55.65 million in 2008. Meanwhile, the analyst suggests mobile games firms in China will receive a new wave of investment in 2009 and 2010.
The forecasts come from the new China Online and Mobile Gaming Industry, 2008 - 2010 report, about which you can find more information here.
