Building on its excellent reputation for online gambling games, Belarusian company Viaden Media has recently made a successful transition to releasing games and apps for iPhone and iPad.

As well as making full use of its gambling expertise, it's also released titles into the health and fitness category.

It doesn't just focus on high standards when it comes to software though, as it was the first Belarusian company to become a member of the International Chamber of Commerce, the international business organisation that represents global business views.

Marketing manager Lubov Pashkovskaya told us more about the company, its products and its future plans.

PocketGamer: What can you tell us about Viaden Media?

Lubov Pashkovskaya: Viaden Media has more than four years experience in terms of the development of online gambling solutions. About year ago, we entered the iPhone market with great success. Apple has featured our apps and games many times.

There's a lot of competition when it comes to card and other gambling games, so why do you think your games stand out?

Our company has a broad experience in developing casino games, which are used in many online casinos and regular casinos all over the world. Algorithms used by Viaden Media have been tested and approved by the most heavyweight organisations. We are proud to say there's not a single company on the App Store that can boast this level of quality and professionalism in its casino games.

What do you think are the best features of Casino for iPad?

Casino for iPad [iTunes link] is a unique app that's been featured by Apple more than once. It contains 14 interesting casino games including card games, roulette, slots, video poker and craps. It has a virtual bank where you can buy chips and cash your money just like in a real bank.

How important are social features for these games?

Social aspects are important in any game. It's always more fun to play with friends, not just by yourself. Viaden Media has started developing multiplayer games in the casino category.

What plans do you have in terms of future projects and platforms?

Viaden Media is focusing on new ideas in games. We will be soon releasing a version of our popular Dice Game with original and innovative features. We are also releasing many new apps in the healthcare and fitness category, which is another priority segment for us.

But the most important game we will be releasing is Texas Hold'em Poker later this month, which will raise the standard of poker games.

As for other platforms, we also sell our games and apps on Android, and plan to develop for other platforms, such as BlackBerry and Microsoft's Windows Phone 7.
