Grow your own: FuturLab's James Marsden on how indies can expand safely
How can indies grow and expand without biting off more than they can chew, jeopardising the livelihoods of their employees in the process?

That;s a question we posed to James Marsden - owner and director of FuturLab - when I caught up with him at Eurogamer Expo in London last week.

He is of course the leading man behind the studio responsible for the phenomenally well-received Velocity series, Surge, Fuel Tiracas, and Coconut Dodge.

In the interview below, Marsden details the lessons he learned when expanding FuturLab, as well as how he realised he could upscale safely while still executing upon (and excelling with) his vision of a series with massive potential.
