IGN sources confirm premium App Store on the way

Let's hope we're not all quoting the same mischievious developer

IGN sources confirm premium App Store on the way
Our exclusive report on rumours that Apple is planning to introduce a premium $19.99 games section to the App Store has flushed out two more games developers who've claimed the plan is true.

Specialist games site IGN says of premium App store rumour that: "This morning, two developers have confirmed off the record to IGN Wireless that the premium games area for the App Store is as good as done."

The article follows US blog Slide to Play's weekend off-record confirmation story, quoting a US developer.

Interestingly, the hardcore games review site IGN supports the premium concept, arguing that: "There are needs to be a safer haven for games that are indeed worth more than ten dollars, even all the way up to $19.99. Once you have these two separate areas, the market will then decide in a fairer way the value of a game."

Most commentary on the premium store idea has been fairly positive.
