Five titles duking it out for Best Game prize

Meffys 2009 shortlist announced

The Mobile Entertainment Forum has announced the shortlist for this year's Meffys awards, including a category for best mobile game.

Five games have been shortlisted:


  • Pocket God (Bolt Creative)

  • Real Football 2008 (Gameloft)

  • ONE (Nokia)

  • Tropical Towers (RealNetworks)

  • Play for Prizes (Twistbox)


There are also relevant nominees to the games world in other categories. AdMob's iPhone advertising platform is up for the Technology Innovation prize, as is Nokia's Ovi Store.

Meanwhile, GetJar and Thumbplay are both up for the D2C Service category, and Sony Ericsson's PlayNow Kiosk is up for Mobile First Innovation. Flurry Analytics is up for the Business Intelligence award, too.

The awards take place in London on June 23rd: best of luck to all the nominees.
