Continuing the line up of award-winning portable games from the French Milthon ceremony, Paris developer Globz has announced the DSiWare version of its Globulos Party web game won the prize for the best mobile platform game of 2009.
"We are very proud to have been chosen by the jury. It's a delightful reward for the three-year effort from an indie team. Eight people have worked on the project, but never more than three at a time," said the Globz team.
"We hope the award will increase the visibility of the game, which will be key for a Nintendo DSiWare title."
Globulos Party is due to be released on Nintendo's download platform before the end of the year.
It features 50 playing fields as well as 20 mini-games including the DSi exclusive ice hockey and old favourites such as football, croquet, darts, sumo, pinball, snooker and rugby.
The game also features three multiplayer modes: DS Download Play, DS Wireless Play and a two-player hotseat mode.
Bulkypix's iPhone game Hysteria Project won the Milthon Revelation 2009 award.
