Heroes of the Mobile Screen in London on 7 Dec

Day-long event for movers and shakers

Heroes of the Mobile Screen in London on 7 Dec
What's going on in the world of mobile? Who are the heroes and the villains?

I think we all could provide some examples, so if you're around in London on 7th December, it might be worth getting down to the BFI Southbank for its Heroes of the Mobile Screen event.

Organised by the team behind Mobile Monday London, Swedish Beers Mobile Networking, Future of Mobile, Over The Air, Mobile 2.0 and Tech Media Invest, the day-long event will consider four key points about the mobile industry: what and who are making money?; what's the impact of social media and location technology?; what do the kids think?; and what do the consumers want?

Helen Keegan, co-founder of Heroes of the Mobile Screen explained: "We came up with idea because we realised that most of the events we attend throughout the year all talk around the same subjects, with the same people and bring up the same issues, without resolution."

"It's time for us to stop talking to ourselves, look out beyond our industry and make some changes for the better."

As part of this approach, the day will see four companies pitching their product, service or device to six teenagers, who will let them know what they really think.

Tickets costs £99 (ex VAT and booking fee), and are available from the Mobile Heroes' website.

You can also follow the event via Twitter.
