Further to its release of games for Sony Ericsson's Xperia Play device, Unity's Union program has announced the first wave of titles for RIM's BlackBerry PlayBook tablet.
The headline game is Madfinger Games' highly regarded action slasher Samurai II: Vengeance.
Also announced at the BlackBerry World event were Gamerizon's Chop Chop Tennis, and Luma Arcade's Racer, Art in Games' AirAttack HD and SkyVu Pictures' Battle Bears -1; the latter three being part of Union's Xperia Play releases.
Get on the platform
The games will be ported by their developers in conjunction with Union, Unity's new business unit. This helps studios support hardware not officially handled by the Unity engine and will used RIM's native game SDK, which up-to-this-point has only been used by EA for embedded PlayBook games Tetris and Need for Speed.
A firm date for the Union games is still to be formalised, with their release said to be due sometime in the summer.
Unity hopes to release around 30 games for PlayBook during 2011.
