Unveiled back in April, Engadget claims to have uncovered the launch plans for Sony's forthcoming Android powered tablets S1 and S2.
Based on a "private note sent from Sony's marketing group", the site states both tablets will be available for pre-order from August, with September marked as their official launch date.

Interestingly, it looks as if UK consumers could be the first to get their hands on the devices, with the note detailing early availability through Sony Direct, and unknown retailer and British department store John Lewis.
Further retailers will then be added to the roster as Christmas rolls into view.
Little is known about either tablet, though the 'clamshell' design of the S2 offers most interest, featuring two 5.5 inch touchscreens. The S1 in comparison will sport a more standard design, equipped with a 9.4 inch display.
