Zynga signs deal to bring social line-up to AT&T's shelf on Android Market
Though social gaming stalwart Zynga's library is already available on Android Market, the studio says a new deal with US carrier AT&T will enable it to further reach out to its audience.

The agreement will see Words with Friends and Zynga Poker featured on AT&T's shelf on Android Market later this year, complete with additional content, free credits and giveaways at AT&T sponsored events.

"Zynga strives to provide the best mobile social game experience for our players wherever and whenever they want so our partnership with AT&T will offer an exciting and easy way to access our popular mobile games," said senior VP of mobile at Zynga, David Ko.

"We are looking forward to working with AT&T with this unique partnership that will truly benefit our players."

The agreement, which is the first of its kind signed by Zynga, will also result in both parties exploring ways to extend battery life during play, as well as up speeds and network efficiency when playing online.

"We're excited to be the first wireless carrier to collaborate with Zynga," added AT&T's VP of wireless data, voice and ancillary services, Ted Woodbery.

"Speed enhances playing experience on mobile. This agreement combines the nation's fastest mobile broadband network with a clear leader in mobile social games, ultimately bringing more value to our wireless customers' playing experience."
