Little over six months after making a move on mobile, Exent has used Mobile World Congress in Barcelona to announce its subscription-based games platform GameTanium has launched on Android tablets.
The all-you-can-play service is already available on Android smartphones, and its roll out on tablets is designed to 'complete the circle', with PCs and TVs via set-top boxes already supported.
Fee or free
"The GameTanium tablet offering is yet another step in our anytime, anywhere gameplay vision," said CEO Zvi Levgoren.
"We now offer our world-leading Games on Demand service across all of the platforms necessary to enable games to be played wherever, whenever and however consumers want to play them."
The firm hasn't yet revealed its pricing structure for tablets, simply stating gamers can subcribe for a "low monthly fee".
On Android smartphones, that monthly fee comes in at $4.99, although Exent is offering consumers a free three day trial on tablets in a bid to pick up early traffic.
Extra life
For developers and publishers, the firm claims GameTanium helps increase the life of games by increasing the average revenue per user (ARPU) and strengthening both brand loyalty and retention.
On PC, the lifetime value per GameTanium customer is around $100.
"The service represents a great opportunity for carriers to engage their customers on a more meaningful and ultimately, more profitable level and for game publishers to drive their games more deeply into players' lives," concludes Levgoren.
More details can be found on the Exent website.
