As is typical, Apple used a portion of its iPad unveiling in San Francisco to dish out iOS stats.
Leading the line was the revelation that, since the launch of the original iPhone, Apple has sold a total of 315 million iOS devices.
All in the numbers
The number was detailed by CEO Tim Cook, who also revealed that 62 million of those sales came in Q4 2011.
"We have 3 post PC products. The iPod... the iPhone, and the iPad," said Cook, opening the press event. "Our post PC devices made up 76 percent of our revenues."
Cook also claimed iCloud now boasts 100 million users across the globe.
Eye on iPadIn terms of the star of the show - iPad - Cook said there are now more than 200,000 apps for the tablet now available on the App Store.
Apple also sold 15.4 million iPads during Q4 2011.
"We think that iPad is the poster child of the post-PC world," added Cook.
"Users with a gaming console and portable console said the iPad was their favorite for gaming."
