Three months on from its unveiling, incentivisation tool Gimmie has announced its first client in the form of iOS publisher Freshùu.
The firm has claimed arcade shooter ZiGGURAT developed by Action Button Entertainment will employ Gimmie's real-life rewards, delivering free physical goods to players that unlock achievements in play.
The company enters a crowded market, though, with the likes of Kiip, P4RC and Beeinto already operating a similar model.
It pays to play
Users will be alerted via a push notification whenever they earn Gimmie points, which they can then use on the official Gimmie Store to collect prizes, such as socks and underwear from ManPacks and luxury headphones by Fanny Wang, amongst others.
"There are two things editors and critics agree upon when it comes to ZiGGURAT: one, it is excellent; and two, it is tough as nails," said Freshùu chief creative Pascal Clarysse.
"I couldn't think of a better fit to introduce the Gimmie service to the gaming community. You really have to break a sweat to unlock these achievements which means you'll actually deserve the rewards you'll earn."
Freshùu has claimed it plans to extend Gimmie which is being advised by former OpenFeint CEO Jason Citron - across all games it publishes in the future.
