Ouya on board for Nordic Game Conference 2013

CEO Uhrman to take to the stage

Ouya on board for Nordic Game Conference 2013
On the back of news of the event's partnership with Unite Nordic, organisers behind this year's Nordic Game Conference have lifted the lid on some of the speakers due to take to the stage.

The conference keynote will be given by Tim Schafer of Double Fine fame, though – from a mobile perspective – the headline act is likely to be Ouya CEO Julie Uhrman.

"Today, the most relevant games industry conference in Europe opens for registration with a string of announcements, among them Tim Schafer as the opening keynote speaker, Unity as partner for a pre-conference Unite event, and a brand new program track with Nordic companies," detailed Nordic Game via email.

"It's hard to believe we've come this far, but it will be the tenth time industry peers will gather in Malmö, Sweden, to listen, learn and laugh. And the organisers promise there will be plenty of stuff to be cheerful about."

Uniting conferences

Also of interest at this year's event is a 'pitch & match B2B' system – presumably designed to help attendees form vital business connections for their projects – plus Nordic Fast Track, which looks to deliver "short, sweet and straight to the point" sessions to better connect speakers with the audience.

Nordic Game 2013 is bound for the Swedish city of Malmö between 22-24, following on from the Unite Nordic conference, which will run between 21-22.

Indeed, thanks to an agreement between the two events, both will also take place in the same venue - Malmö's Slagthuset – enabling developers to base themselves around the city for the best part of a week.
