As the first third-party publisher to sign on for iPhone game development, Electronic Arts asserted that Spore is only the first of several titles in development for the handset.

Electronic Arts is targeting a September release for iPhone Spore, which would bring it in line with the game's launch on Nintendo DS (and PC).
