With just under 10 weeks to go the time has come to start revealing the content behind the next round of the Pocket Gamer Connects conference tour: PGC San Francisco on July 7-8.

And a sensible starting point seems to be the speakers that will be delivering key content across the event's four tracks - covering the global mobile gaming industry, the indie gaming scene, the hottest mobile marketing & monetisation trends, the future of the sector, and more.

The first batch of announced speakers represent the broad range of industry focus PGC San Francisco aims to deliver to over 500 leading industry representatives over two jam-packed days, and individuals confirmed include (in company alphabetical order to avoid any fisticuffs):

  • Simon Chow, Business Development, Animoca Brands
  • Kimberly Unger, CEO, Bushi-go
  • David Zemke, Director of BD, DeNA
  • Chris Akhavan, President of Publishing, Glu Mobile
  • Alejandro Manchado, US Gaming Partnerships Lead, Google
  • Phil Hickey, VP Marketing & Communications, Seriously
  • Josh Yguado, President & COO, SGN
  • Kristian Segerstrale, COO, Super Evil Megacorp
  • Jim Ying, VP Game Publishing, Tango
  • Randy Lee, Head of Business Development, Tencent

There's more

These are just the start. The PGC San Francisco site has the current list of speakers, with more being added regularly as the schedule is finalised.

But it's not just the speakers and tracks. We’re also delivering our renowned suite of fringe events, which include The Very Big Indie Pitch competition, the I Love Indie Showcase developer zone, and our legendary Pocket Gamer Party.

Talking monetisation at PG Connects London

Which is a long-winded way to suggest that if you work in the mobile games industry, it may be an idea to join us on the West Coast this July?

Currently you can do so at a fraction of the full cost thanks to our early bird ticket rates – but don't hang around as these will cease end of play May 1.

Get involved

If you don't just want to come along but would rather also get stuck into the action, there is still time to get involved.

Anyone wishing to sponsor the world’s leading dedicated mobile games conference ought to contact our head of sales, Lisa Bisset, to discuss packages.

If talking is your thing, there is still time to register your speaker submission here.

(Applications close on Friday May 8, so the sooner, the better.)
