Mobile games firm Ozura Mobile has announced its expansion into India, via a partnership with Goldfinch Mobile Solutions.
The deal means Goldfinch will be offering Ozura's FunlogiX mobile gaming platform to Indian mobile operators, allowing them to manage their own mobile games communities. The platform supports online tournaments, forums and prizeplay features.
"We are confident that through this partnership we will effectively strengthen Ozura's position as Asia's largest platform provider in the mobile value added services industry," says Ozura VP of marketing H.E. Mah.
There's renewed focus on the mobile games market in India, thanks to some bullish recent predictions from analysts, including Gartner's prediction that it could be worth $450 million by 2012.
Meanwhile, Ozura cites a study claiming that high-end mobile gamers in India may spend as much as $20 a month on games.
