Mark Ettle founded Cobra Mobile in 2005.

Cobra Mobile is an international game/app developer and publisher based in Dundee, Scotland.

As a game developer Cobra have created a wide range of successful games, and are best known for the iBomber game series. Cobra develop games for Mobile, Tablet, Console, PC, Mac, Linux and Smart TV and are positioned to react quickly to any new platforms in the marketplace.

As a publisher of games, Cobra work on an international scale to promote and communicate its game products and brands. Cobra works closely with platform holders to maximize exposure for its games and deliver showcase products.

Cobra has an extensive catalog of game IP (Intellectual Property) it has created. Cobra has retained ownership of all its (IP) and continues to grow its strong IP catalog year-on-year. Cobra also owns the trademark (™) for its iBomber game brand.

Cobra Mobile has heavily invested in the development of its own bespoke game development tools and underlying technologies which allow it to support the widest range of platforms, currently including, Mobile, Tablet, Console, PC, Mac, Linux, Smart TV and more.

Cobra Mobile also supplies work-for-hire services to key clients and assist clients with game development strategies.

From 2005-2008,
Cobra excelled as a development studio working with a variety of top tier brands (Lego, Codemasters, Warner Bros., IPC Media, etc.) across a range of projects. In 2008 with the arrival of the iPhone and smartphone era Cobra pivoted from a mainly work-for-hire development studio to a studio focused on the creation and expansion of its own IP and technology development.

2008-2019,
Since pivoting in 2008, Cobra has won a ton of awards and accolades and has been nominated for 5 BAFTA's and had 3 game of the year awards and the best is yet to come.
