Fishlabs looks to build Asian profile, appointing Christy Tang as social media manager for China
It's all go at German mobile developer Fishlabs as it builds up for various expansions in its key Galaxy On Fire IP.

Latest hire is Christy Tang, who is now the company's social media manager for China.

The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology graduate will be based in Fishlabs' new Hamburg HQ, making full use of her Cantonese, Mandarin, English, Spanish and German language skills to increase the company's profile in China.

Build a community that pays

"The Asian markets are of every increasing importance to us. Even when we developed Java games, the lion share of downloads came from China although we weren't able to profit from that fact," explained CEO Michael Schade.

"However, we were able to build a fan base that will be a crucial factor to the success of our upcoming free-to-play games for iOS, Android and Symbian^3 - even above and beyond the Chinese market."

Tang's appointment follows recent expansion of Fishlabs' online, community and game design departments.
