Thumbthug.com starts selling BlackBerry games
US-based mobile games website Thumbthug has started selling BlackBerry games, through a partnership with Movaya.

More than 30 are available at launch, including Guitar Hero III: Backstage Pass, Who Wants to Be a Millionaire 2009, Crash Bandicoot Nitro Kart and Baseball Superstars 2008.

"Thumbthug.com is very excited to start to offer this range of BlackBerry games to its gamer customers and will continue to add to the list of Blackberry Smartphone titles available throughout the year," says co-CEO David Player.

"We see this move as a great opportunity to build a lasting relationship with the growing number of BlackBerry gamers out there."

However, it remains to be seen just how lucrative the games are for Thumbthug, given that to buy them, customers actually click through to a different site, the well-established Bplay.

These sites will soon face competition from BlackBerry firm Research In Motion, meanwhile, which is launching its BlackBerry application center in March.
