Digital Goldfish bringing Mr Men and Little Misses to iPhone and iPad

The Steve Jobs is playing Mr Greedy jokes start here

Often remembered for the original children's book series launched back in the 70s, characters from the Mr Men and Little Miss line up are now more commonly seen on the television. Hence, it makes sense for the characters to appear in their own games on iPhone and iPad.

Scottish developer Digital Goldfish has signed a deal with IP holder Chorion to publish the games.

Greedy for games

"The conceptual work from Digital Goldfish was perfect for the direction we want to head in with the Mr Men and Little Miss characters, as we extend them in to the gaming sector," said Chorion's head of digital licensing Lisa Macdonald.

Said deal, which Macdonald suggests won't be the last, was brokered by AT New Media, with Digital Goldfish gaining access to all 83 Mr Men and Little Miss characters.

The first game to launch as a result will be based on Mr Bump, with controls designed to ensure players of all skill levels can play it.

"We are delighted to be working with Chorion on the Mr Men and Little Miss franchise," said Digital Goldfish MD David Hamilton.

"We all grew up loving these characters and feel that they will work very well in the App Store."

The as yet undefined Mr Bump game will launch on iOS during October.
