Polarbit lines up four titles for Zeebo console
Joining the likes of Digital Chocolate, Gamevil, Glu and Fishlabs, Swedish studio Polarbit has revealed it is bringing four titles to Zeebo's gaming and education console for emerging countries such as Brazil, China and India.

The publisher's first two releases, Armageddon Squadron and Iron Sight, are available now in Brazil and Mexico, with iPhone street racer Raging Thunder 2 and the forthcoming Reckless Racing following later this year.

Education, education... and gaming

Based on the Brew platform and equipped with Qualcomm's Brew mobile gaming chipset, Zeebo's 3G enabled console is primarily pitched at new markets in South America and Asia.

The device combines mobile style gameplay with online education resources.

"We're thrilled about the opportunities to enter large, otherwise hard to reach markets and bring our games to wholly new groups of customers that Zeebo is able to offer us," said Polarbit founder Mitri Bautista-Wiberg.

"We are also excited about broadening our device support to include home set top systems."

Global gamingZeebo made it debut in Brazil in June 2009, rolling out in Mexico the following November.

It's since launched in Russia, China and India.

"Polarbit is renowned for its high end 3D games and we’re delighted to see the first two of their four titles launching today for our consumers in Brazil and Mexico," said Zeebo's senior VP and president of global content and services, Mike Yuen.

"All four of their titles will be available for purchase for the holidays and they’re sure to bring a smile to Zeebo gamers of all ages."
