SpongeBob, iCarly and Dora the Explorer come to GameTanium as Exent signs 30 game deal with Nickelodeon
Exent's target of having 2,000 titles available for GameTanium Mobile – the firm's subscription game delivery platform for Android – before the end of 2011 was certainly ambitious, given it launched with just 75.

The addition of 30 new games, therefore, is a timely boost for the suite, but it's the licenses involved Exent is most keen to highlight.

The stars are bright

As a result of a deal with Nickelodeon, some of the network's biggest stars – SpongeBob SquarePants, iCarly and Dora the Explorer - have now all hit the platform.

It's a partnership Exent is eager to bill as the perfect match for both its and Nickelodeon's casual consumer base.

"Partnering with Nickelodeon is a natural fit for Exent, and adding these globally recognised casual game brands greatly complements our family-focused catalog," said Exent CMO Christina Kuzma.

"With this collaboration, subscribers can now enjoy easy access and unlimited game play of top games like SpongeBob SquarePants, Dora the Explorer and iCarly."

Pay to play

GameTanium Mobile, which originally rolled out on Google's OS in mid-July, operates a subscription-based model, offering users 'all you can eat' style play for $4.99 per month per title.

Nickelodeon's library will be sold in the same way, reaching consumers via partnerships with broadband service providers such as Verizon, Mediacom and Frontier Communications.

"These premium titles are among the most popular in our gaming catalog," added VP of digital retail games for Nickelodeon and MTV Kids, Shaan Kandawalla.

"We are delighted to partner with Exent to give fans access to a number of their favourite Nickelodeon games whenever they want by using this convenient service."
