Barnes & Noble ups Nook Tablet production for 2011 by 200,000
Kindle Fires might be flying off US shelves and Amazon.com, but there's another Android-based e-reader-come-tablet that's also doing rather well.

Barnes & Noble's $249 Nook Tablet, which launched mid-November, is also finding plenty of market traction.

According to DigiTimes, its manufacturers have been stepping up production, and will have shipped 1 million units to Barnes & Noble by the end of 2011.

This is up from the 800,000 originally planed for the year.
