Sixits looks to Kickstarter to fund Android and iOS game Robota: Vengeance
New media production company Sixits has turned to Kickstarter to fund its latest project – an Infinity Blade-style adventure for iOS and Android based on Doug Chiang's Robota fiction.

The company hopes to raise $100,000 in crowdsourced contributions by March 12, offering backers of the project an iOS or Android copy of the final game if they pledge $5 or more.
Robota: Vengeance is based on Doug Chiang and Orson Scott Card's illustrated book Robota, and Chiang – who has won an Oscar for his extensive work in film production – will be collaborating with Sixits if the project reaches its funding goal.

Give it a good kick

Famous, the recent popularity of Kickstarter came from Double Fine which raised $2 million for its next game; despite only targeting $400,000 goal.

The Kickstarter page for Robota: Vengeance displays the current pledged total as just over $20,000. According to Kickstarter's rules, the project will only receive funding if its $100,000 target is reached by 12 March.
