VR comes to Pocket Gamer Connects London 2016 with dedicated track and VR Indie Pitch

With Pocket Gamer Connects London 2016 just around the corner, it's time to let you in on a secret.

The event, scheduled for the 18th-19th of January, will have a dedicated Future Visions track looking at AR/VR that doesn't just cover mobile solutions, but every aspect of virtual reality, augmented reality and motion controls.

Whether it's about the challenges of developing for this new technology, how to market your game or anything else, there will be a range of talks from some of the biggest and most creative names in the industry including Resolution's Tommy Palm.

Steel Media MD Chris James explains the track's addition:

"Although Pocket Gamer’s primary focus will always be serving the mobile games industry, we are proactive in looking to explore and champion new formats and technologies and currently we’re committed to covering VR and AR across our channels.

"There’s a natural mobile crossover with Google Cardboard and the Samsung GearVR, of course.

"But we’re also committed to covering the other non-mobile formats Oculus, PlayStation VR, Vive and more in our dedicated section of Pocket Gamer and at PG Connects London 2016."

This commitment to VR extends to the Big Indie Pitch too.

We'll be running a dedidcated VR Indie Pitch on the second day of the event giving people the opportunity to put their game in front of our team of VR judges.

Successfull shortlisted pitchers not only stand a chance of winning some promotional prizes and a load of coverage, they'll also gain free access to the entire 2 day show!
