Last chance to enter the Big Indie Pitch at Develop 2016

Indie game developers currently working on a mobile, wearable, handheld or VR project and likely to be at (or near) Develop:Brighton next week:

We're delivering the latest Big Indie Pitch and we very much encourage you to enter.

Taking place between 7pm-11pm on Tuesday July 12th and sponsored by Amazon Appstore and Chillingo, our popular competition is hosted at Volks Bar & Club (near Brighton Pier), is free, and is open to any indie dev working on any of the above formats (the game can be at any stage of development – even if already recently released).

But if you want in, you'll have to hurry: submissions close midnight Tuesday July 5th. (Full details, including registration links, here.)

What's this, then?

Speed dated before? Then our Big Indie Pitches will sound reassuringly familiar. Developers get four minutes to pitch their games to a panel of journalists and industry experts, before moving on to the next group and doing it all over again.

It's a unique chance to get your game in the hands of major players in the industry, as well as getting immediate feedback from them while you're at it.

Winners on the night earn promotional packages across Pocket Gamer, AppSpy, 148Apps, and more.

But everyone comes away with expert insight that will undoubtedly improve their game – past BIP entrants will confirm as much. It's what they tell us, and we suspect they're not just being polite.

Besides, we know it works. You can check out past BIP fun here.

Not sure if your game's eligible? Well:

  • You can pitch games for mobile, VR, handheld and even for smartwatches.
  • You can pitch your game even if you've pitched it at a previous BIP.
  • We prefer to see unreleased games, though we're happy to see games that are out too.
  • Your game doesn’t have to be completed, as we welcome games in development.
  • Deadline for entries is midnight on July 5th 2016 (entry details below).

Still with us? Then head over to the event page to find out more about how to submit your game.

Don't have a game, but want to check out the action? You can. Grab a free Spectator ticket and just come and watch everything go down.

Whether you're pitching or spectating, don't forget to bring your business cards with you.
