Clash Royale picks up two Game of the Year nominations at Nordic Game Awards 2017

Supercell's Clash Royale has been nominated in both the Game of the Year and Small Screen categories at the Nordic Game Awards 2017.

It is the only mobile game to be nominated in the main Game of the Year category. It faces EA DICE's Battlefield 1, IO Interactive's Hitman, Playdead's Inside, D-Pad Studio's Owlboy and Massive Entertainment's Tom Clancy's The Division.

Also nominated for the Game of the Year - Small Screen accolade are Bridgeside Interactive's Clapper, Martin Magni's Mekorama, Pixelbite Games' Space Marshals 2 and Grapefrukt Games' Twofold Inc.

A big hand

Clapper is nominated for three awards overall, including Best Debut and Best Fun for Everyone. It is the most nominated mobile game at the awards.

Other mobile titles to receive nods include Fuzzy House's Fuzzy House, Rosamosi's Mussila: Musical Monster Adventure and Toca Boca's Toca Hair Salon 3. All of these have been nominated in the Best Fun for Everyone category.

The Nordic Game Awards will be held at the Unreal Theatre in Malmo on May 18th 2017.

The ceremony will be held as part of the Nordic Game Conference, which takes place between May 17th and 19th.
