Emerging trends, player retention and advertising: Inside Superstar Sessions at Pocket Gamer Connects Seattle

With less than a week to go until Pocket Gamer Connects Seattle takes place on May 13th and 14th, we’re taking the opportunity to highlight the 10 tracks on offer at the event (plus there's also four tracks over on PC Connects).

In the build-up, we will be looking at one specific track daily to give you a better idea of what to expect.

Today we’re looking at Superstar Sessions, that brings together the biggest names and brightest minds in games to discuss the hottest topics that are sweeping the industry as a whole.

May 13th

09:40 - GameAnalytics director of customer operations Ivan Bravo will get the proceedings going with a session looking at global trends in hyper-casual games. Expect a deep dive into retention metrics, emerging trends as well as ideas for retaining and re-engaging players.

10:20 - Next up, Minimob SVP of US operations Loukas Petropouleas will take the stage to talk about creative user acquisition and tactics for apps utilising his specialist expertise in mobile advertising.

10:20 - Simultaneously over at PC Connects, Valve UI designer Alden Kroll and business development marketer Tom Giardino will be analysing the tools available in Steam to make sure users are getting the most out of their releases.
