Capcom reveals 3m mobile sales of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire
Capcom has extended its deal to sell Who Wants To Be A Millionaire mobile games in North America to 2010.

The publisher says it's sold three million mobile downloads based on the TV gameshow since 2003, across several games. The latest version is Who Wants To Be A Millionaire 2009 (pictured).

"Capcom Interactive has been a fabulous long-term partner with DADT for Millionaire in the mobile gaming space," says Lloyd Komesar, VP of Pay TV & Interactive Media at Disney ABC Domestic Television (DADT), the rights-holder for North America.

The TV show is clearly an enduring hit with mobile gamers. In 2006, Glu Mobile announced that it had sold a million downloads of its first Who Wants To Be A Millionaire game in Europe, where it holds the mobile licence.

Indeed, Glu recently extended that licence to include China, the Middle East and several Latin American countries.
