Flying high
May has been an aeronautical month for fans of the iPhone gaming scene. The festering 'charm' of endless-flyer Zombie Ace helped it soar to the top of the Qi chart over the past four weeks, proving there's life to be found in the genre yet - even if your game's protagonists are, well, dead.
Meanwhile, Frontier Developments's LostWinds 2: Winter of the Melodias has been sweeping critics off their feet with its unique combination of platforming and elemental manipulation, both of which have propelled it straight into third place.
And demonstrating that the postal system CAN be efficient (and fun), delivery-themed biplane game Air Mail is circling the #4 spot, arriving just in time to take iOS gamers on another entertaining flight of fancy.

In order to provide a regular marker of the critical zeitgeist, however, we will continue to round up the best of the iPhone games released each month to provide the definitive Quality Index top ten.
