Supercell's daily revenue rates have reportedly hit $2.4 million, with some branding the studio the fastest growing game company ever.
The figure was published as part of an interview by Forbes with Supercell CEO Ilkka Paananen, conducted days after the developer responsible for iOS hits Clash of Clans and Hay Day was valued at $800 million.
By the end of 2013, it's predicted that value could rise to $1 billion or more, making the company worth twice the amount of EA's mobile games division, itself built on the back of more than 900 releases.
First for fun
"It really is that simple - just design something great, something that users love," Paanenen told Forbes of the studio's success to date, somewhat ironically stressing the importance of putting fun above revenue.
In all, Supercell claims to have more than 8.5 million daily players stretched across its two mobile titles, with a focus on doing things differently than some of the industry's biggest players Supercell's founders having previously worked at the likes of Digital Chocolate and Remedy the key.
"After working for big companies and shipping over 165 games across 12 platforms, we all wanted to build a different kind of game company, the one we'd always dreamed of," Paananen told PocketGamer.biz as part of a recent studio profile.
"Quite simply, we thought that the best people make the best games and our main goal should be to get those people and create create a zero-bureaucracy type of environment for them. That was our inspiration."

The news comes six months after Supercell pegged its daily revenues at $500,000, representing growth of almost 400 percent.
