Flexion gains $2 million for its new Gamesmondo distribution and affiliate platform

London-based game discovery platform Flexion Mobile has been awarded a grant worth $2.1 from Horizon 2020, Europe's largest research and innovation programme.

The grant was awarded to support the creation and launch of its new distribution and affiliate plaform, called Gamesmondo.

"[The grant] will allow us to accelerate our roll-out of partners, features and distribution channels", said Andreas MacMahon, the company's project coordinator and co-founder of Flexion Mobile.

On the up

It's not the only funding the company has recently. Recently it raised $3 million to expand into emerging countries such as India and Iran.

Flexion Mobile promotes an open ecosystem for mobile games allowing Android developers to reach users in an easy and cost-effective way through services like in-app payment solutions, game updates and download hosting.

Flexion has served over 550 million users since inception.
