Mobile games-on-demand service Hatch extends beta to UK and Ireland

Mobile games-on-demand service Hatch has extended its beta to the UK and Ireland.

The Rovio-backed platform is designed to enable users to discover and instantly play over 100 premium games via streaming.

Each game is accessible for free with no in-app purchases or gameplay limits, though it currently utilises ads while a subscription service will be added in future.

Players can also record gameplay moments and share them to social networks, as well as play with friends and family in real-time with voice chat.

Premium content, for free

Developers with games on the platform include Ustwo Games, Frogmind, Ubisoft and most recently Square Enix Montreal.

Hatch is set to be featured on Google Play Early Access from January 26th.

“Hatch was founded to change the way we discover and play games, and to create new gaming experiences to share with the people in our lives,” said Hatch CEO Juhani Honkala.

“The UK and Ireland together represent a major gaming market, and we look forward to learning from users in the region how to build on and keep improving the ultimate place on mobile to discover, play and share great games.”

The news was announced during Pocket Gamer Connects London 2018, taking place on January 22nd to 23rd.
