Kiloo raises funds for media offshoot

Kiloo raises funds for media offshoot
Kiloo has announced that it's raised an undisclosed amount of funding in order to launch a new offshoot called Kiloo Media.

The funding comes from investment firm Firmainvest A/S (or FIRMAINVEST as they prefer to be known, judging from the press release. We don't think it's an acronym.)

Kiloo says the new company will enable "media and brand owners to individualize themselves and communicate directly with their users."

A mobile marketing company?

"Promotional, media and advertising agencies will be able to benefit from Kiloo Media's unique mobile solution and instantly add value to their customer campaigns and extend into a World Wide audience of three billion mobile subscribers."

Well, some of them.

Okay, so that's the big pitch, but in fairness, Kiloo Media has already signed up its first client - a Danish TV broadcaster, with a project due to go live in the first quarter of next year.

The challenge will be securing brands' budgets at a time when many are reining in their expenditure on more experimental mobile campaigns.
