Now into its sixth year, the International Mobile Gaming Awards underlined the current domination of iPhone games in the mobile space with all but one of the winners across eight categories being released on the platform.
The headline winner was Illusion Labs' Labrinyth 2, which won the Grand Prix prize.
Chris James, presenter of the awards said, "There were some outstanding games up for consideration this year and many of the decisions were very tough.
"Clearly 2010 has been the year to celebrate the creativity of iPhone developers, and we look forward to how the market for innovative gaming will expand in future."
Best casual game was Konami's Wire Way, which was originally released on DS.
Best Real World game was Blast Theory's mobile conversation-based terrorism in Venice drama Ulrike and Eamon.
Excellence in Connectivity was Com2uS' shooter Sniper Vs. Sniper Online.
Excellence in Design was kids/ puzzler Ancient Frog Jr.
Excellence in Gameplay was the Tak Fung's excellent 2D aerial shooter MiniSquadron.
The People's Choice award went to Urban Legend's forthcoming beat-'em up Bruce Lee Dragon Warrior.
The Operator's Choice Award was Konami's Krazy Kart Racing.
