Gameloft has announced a collaboration with LG Electronics to optimise a handful of the publisher's games for the upcoming glasses-free 3D smartphone, the LG Optimus 3D Max.

The deal will see Gameloft release 12 games including Assassin's Creed 3D, Dungeon Hunter 2 3D, Splintercell 3D, N.O.V.A 2, which will be made available through the LG Smart World app store.

To the max

LG has also announced that apps including Google Earth and Google Maps will make use of the Optimus 3D Max's enhanced 3D convertor to display road views in 3D.

"We're thrilled to work with LG Electronics to illustrate the potential of this high-end technology on the new LG Optimus 3D Max," said Gameloft's senior vice president of publishing Gonzague de Vallois.
