Appnext extends its interstitial discovery network from Facebook to Android
Promising Amazon-like targeting, Israel monetisation and discovery network Appnext is extending its Facebook tech to Android.

Of course, there are plenty of entrenched mobile-only companies already operating successfully in the sector.

So Appnext points to its system's interstitial-based delivery and its ability to include game descriptions as ways in which it will provide a strong user experience.

Its social gaming history also provides developers with the ability to go cross-platform and use the money earned on one platform to generate installs on the other.

In control

"Thanks to Appnext's innovative ad unit, we're generating more revenue than we previously did with other ad networks," said Deniz Piri, CEO of Ahoy Games.

"Beyond that, it doesn't interrupt the user experience and allows us to offer our players more relevant game offers during breaks in the game."

In terms of mobile, it's launching on Android, with support for Windows Phone to follow.

Appnext supports development tools such as Unity, Corona, Marmalade, Adobe Air, PhoneGap and HTML5 through its SDK and plug-ins.

"Regardless of which platform they choose, the Appnext mobile monetisation network enables any mobile game developer to monetise their game's existing traffic in order to generate new daily traffic for free," commented Appnext's founder Elad Natanson.
