Ben Cousins on what's next for gaming hardware

At Pocket Gamer Connects Helsinki 2014, Ben Cousins (ex-Sony, EA/DICE and DeNA) looked into the future and considered the key technological trends that are impacting wearable computing and dedicated gaming hardware.

On this basis, he concluded that the next big gaming hardware has to be smaller than a smartphone, as well as being simpler in terms of UI, and more intimate in some aspect.

However, he wasn't necessarily convinced that the next big gaming hardware platform would be wearable, only that it wouldn't be a dedicated gaming device.
