GameInfluencer raises six-figure funding from European mobile game developers to grow platform

Influencer marketing startup GameInfluencer has secured a six-figure investment round from a number of high-profile European developers to grow its platform.

Investors include flaregames' CEO Klaas Kersting, Spil Games' CEO Tung Nguyen-Khac, Agnitio Capital's MD Shum Singh and former Bigpoint Founder and CEO Heiko Hubertz. The four investors will also join GameInfluencer's advisory board as part of the deal.

The funding will be used to continue developing the firm's platform. It is a data-driven solution that selects influencers suited for specific types of games across mobile, console and PC.

Big backers

"I am delighted that some of the most renowned entrepreneurs and experts of the gaming industry are participating in our financing round and joining our advisory board," said Georg Broxtermann, Co-Founder and Managing Director at GameInfluencer.

"Heiko, Klaas, Tung and Shum are all great businessmen with deep knowledge of the market and will surely help us to become the leading influencer platform for the gaming sector."

Influencer marketing has become a key area for developers to promote their games in recent years. Some developers, like Space Ape Games, have even gone as far as to put influencers directly in their games to boost its profile.
