PUBG Mobile introduces a new 'Clans' community feature

Update also brings achievements and deathmatch-inspired War Mode to the mobile port

PUBG Mobile introduces a new 'Clans' community feature

A fresh update to PUBG Mobile has introduced a new feature for creating clans.

The social system - as seen in many other mobile games - allows players to team up and create clans with friends.

These clans can be customised with “unique clan icons", and will reward members with exclusive items for “climbing in ranks and completing challenges”.

It’s war, then

The update also brings War Mode to the mobile version of PUBG. The deathmatch-like mode eschews the traditional last-man-standing gameplay in favour of a race to reach 100 kills.

War Mode Games take place on a smaller portion of either Miramar or Erangel and players who die respawn equipped with basic weapons and gear.

Finally, the update brought additional options for selecting play regions, additional items and weapons, and a new achievement system.

PUBG might be trailing behind Fortnite in terms of revenue, but Brendan Greene’s battle royale has been downloaded twice as many times and is still raking in the cash.
