Supercell’s hit mobile game Clash of Clans is still generating around $1.5 million a day in 2018.

Market intelligence firm Sensor Tower reports that the title, now in its sixth year since release, has topped the US App Store grossing chart 'just' three times this year.

The $1.5m figure is markedly lower than the game’s 2015 peak. During January and July of that year, the title’s revenue averaged almost $5.5m a day.

It’s still an impressive feat for a title launched back in 2012, which regularly sits in the top 10 grossing rankings.

Still a significant revenue driver

Using $1.5m as a base figure, that would mean in the 211 days between January 1st and July 31st 2018, Clash of Clans has made approximately $316.5 million so far this year.

According to Superdata, in 2017 Clash of Clans generated an estimated $1.2 billion in revenue for the year. Another of Supercell’s titles meanwhile, Clash Royale, was also said to have brought in $1.2 billion.
