King’s quartet of Candy Crush games have made the mobile games developer $1.3 billion so far this year.
According to Sensor Tower, $128 million of that came In October, which is an eight per cent jump from the $119 million brought in from September.
Leading the charge was Candy Crush Saga, which racked up $81.9 million, 64 per cent of the total revenue brought in by the franchise last month. Following on was Candy Crush Soda Saga with $33.5 million (26 per cent).
Candy Crush Jelly Saga, meanwhile, brought in $7.1 million. King’s newest addition Candy Crush Friends Saga came out last month and made $5.6 million.
Trick or treat
Candy Crush Friends Saga landed on the App Store and Google play after being in soft launch since May 2017.
Alongside 3D graphics and new special moves, new game modes include ‘dunk the cookie in the chocolate’ and ‘free the octopuses and the mammoths’.
According to Sensor Tower, it has already made over $10 million revenue worldwide.
