Today's spotlight is on Thomas Kriebernegg, CEO of App Radar. Kriebernegg has worked in online marketing for over 15 years, spending six of those in App Store marketing. He's also a huge gaming enthusiast, and will be heading to PGC Helsinki to host a panel titled 'The K Factor - how your campaigns can also improve your organic growth'.

Thomas Kriebernegg: App Radar focuses on organic and paid app user acquisition and let’s you combine self-service tools with managed services for app store marketing. This way you can grow faster, either on your own or with the support of our experts.

The international team of App Radar has already helped to achieve more than 100 million downloads for customers like iTranslate, Kolibri Games, Wargaming, some of the world’s most successful mobile companies.

What does your role entail?

Strategic marketing, innovation and leadership.

Why did you want to work in the games industry?

Because I simply love games!

What advice would you give to anyone looking to get into the space?

Just do it! Find out what you want to do the most (game design, development, art design, gameplay, esports,...) and just do it.

What are your thoughts on the industry in the last 12 months?

A crazy increase in available content as well as possibilities of how to consume it.

What major trends do you predict in the next 12 months?

Changes to platform rules, challengers to King like Peak becoming stronger contenders in the puzzle genre, a continuation of a booming games industry while social distancing is necessary. 

How has the games industry changed since you first started?

Mobile games have exploded!

Which part of the Connects event are you most looking forward to and why?

Topics around funding and growing a start-up, that is where we are at!
