Activision Blizzard appoints new Activision, King and emerging businesses presidents

Publishing giant Activision Blizzard has made three high-level promotions.

Call of Duty GM Rob Kostich has risen to the role of Activision president having worked at the firm for the past 15 years. For the last 10, the exec has been in charge of Acti's blockbuster shooter franchise.

Meanwhile, King also has a new president in CFO and chief strategy officer Humam Sakhnini. These are roles that he has held since April 2016, shortly after Activision closed its purchase of the Candy Crush firm. Prior to that, Sakhnini was the big A's chief strategy and talent officer.

The third and final promotion is Dennis Durkin, who was recently re-appointed as Activision Blizzard's CFO. This time around his role is expanded, serving as the president of the firm's emerging markets. This will see the exec handling the company's relatively new esports and merchandise divisions as opposed to regional emerging markets.
