GREE partners with brand agency Dentsu for global Platform push

Marketing expertise to build GREE name

GREE partners with brand agency Dentsu for global Platform push
GREE has signed an agreement with brand agency Dentsu that will see the launch of its forthcoming GREE Platform supported by a promo push around the globe.

The Japanese social giant's platform is due to roll out in the west in Q2 2012.

At the same time, Denstu, which has 40 years of experience in the field, will utilise its marketing expertise to promote the GREE brand internationally.

Making a dent

"Dentsu's first step will be to assist with developing GREE's network of international users and enhancing the brand through a robust global network of advocates and successful marketing expertise," said GREE in a statement.

"In addition, the two companies will collaborate on various promotional opportunities leveraging Dentsu's broad collection of entertainment content."

The partnership is designed to ensure the GREE platform, which is a combination of OpenFeint's network and GREE's original Japanese network, gains visibility in the west.

The company has already detailed that the platform will be backed with a $50 million marketing push.

And GREE's assault on the west is to be coupled with a number of games delivered by the company's first North American studio, with first release Zombie Jombie having hit iOS earlier in March.
